Romancing the West Blog Event|Giveaway

Gotta Love
a Cowboy!

Note: Romancing The West (my blog) is taking part in the Romancing the West Blog Hop (not my blog hop), and while many of the participants have guested on RTW, this is a separate event, so you will find even more terrific authors.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then I might as well let the cover model of Much Ado About Marshals (Kyle Walker) do the talking.

+

Upper left: Um, his hat fell over his eyes.
Upper right: I was faster on the shutter than he was on the draw.
Lower left: Too pensive for a Romance cover.
Lower right: Chillin' while waiting for us to change the lights.

And here's the actual book cover.

  2. Nice cover model...and cover! I always think of John Wayne and Clint Eastwood when I think of westerns. John was my first crush as a preteen, but Clint carried me through my teen years. *sigh*.
    I just love a cowboy.

    1. Yes he is. I liked both John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, but Clint Walker had my heart since I was four years old. LOL

  5. Hi Jacquie,
My ideal heroes have been those men who know how to treat a woman -- keep her safe and happy. Her opinion is equally as valid as his, her feelings matter when he makes a decision, and most importantly a hero must be honor bound to his promises. Everything else falls into place afterwards. Sadly, while answering your question I just had a flashback of an altercation I witnessed between a guy and a girl. She caught him texting another "chick" behind her back and he went on and on that he loved her not the chick he texted. Even to my ears, his words sounded void of emotion. He is NOT an example of a hero.

    1. Susan, I agree on every count. Maybe that's why I don't go for the arrogant @sshole hero. Some love that type. Good thing we all don't like the same things, though, or we'd only have one book!

  6. I grew up watching westerns so I had a lot of favorites. They were all so handsome and strong.

  8. Love your cover and the model's pictures. I grew watching westerns too and still do when I can find them on TV or a movie theatre. I like strong cowboys but; whom can be tender at the same time. Loyal and proud. Will do anything they set their minds to.

  9. I love a man who truly loves and protects his woman through anything. And tight jeans and a cowboy hat don't hurt either.

  10. My ideal hero is a cross between John Wayne, James Garner and Sam Elliot. John had the best lines, James had the charm and Sam has the voice. Throw in the horse, gun and hat, and its the ultimate combo package!

  13. Yeah, I could go to Sam Elliot. or Tom Selleck. Yum. Showing my age? Oh well. Young or old, I like them manly but gentle and sensitive.
